Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

Usually I'm not a big fan of the Superman comics but this 8 issue series is an absolute marvel to behold. It follows Kara as she helps an alien girl travel the galaxy as they hunt down the man who murdered her father. The unique watercolor style is beautiful in just about every panel and the story that is told is more akin to an 80's fantasy adventure than anything you'd encounter from a typical superhero comic.

Blacksad

If the panels above don't convince you to read Blacksad, I don't know what will. The watercolor is a work of art you can get lost in for hours on every single pane. The stories are also beautifully told and my best summary is like looking into an alternate reality where Disney decided to make animated films of film noir for adult audiences.

Far Sector

The Green Lantern Corps is always referred to amongst DC fans as "space cops" and Far Sector takes this to the obvious conclusions of showing how being a cop means being an agent of repression in any society.
