Seasons of Television
There's a LOT of good TV shows out there, but it's often hard to recommend a lot of them simply because seasons can vary wildly in quality. Even worse is that some of the best television I have ever experienced is usually sandwiched in between pretty middling quality seasons, which makes it difficult to recommend because who in their right mind wants to wade through hours of "mid" before they get to the good part.
That's why I thought I'd recommend some of my favorite seasons in television. I'll be sure to mention what you'll need to catch before you get to that specific season so you can follow along to the story and also let you know where there's a good time to get off after you've finished the season.
Umbrella Academy: Season 2
Black Sails: Season 3
Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency: Season 1
The Mandalorian Season 1
Miracle Workers Season 2
True Detective Season 1
White Lotus Season 2
Star Trek: Picard Season 3
Westworld Season 1
Jessica Jones Season 1
Arrow Season 2
Parks and Recreation End of Season 2 and beyond
Despite having two full seasons to go on, this show really started at season 2, episode 23. When the show first started, they tried to be a clone of the Office and most of the humor and heart didn't come through until the writers made it its own thing by writing Mark Brendanawicz, their "Jim" character, out of the show and introducing us to Ben Wyatt and Chris Traeger. After that, the show hit its stride and is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms.
